Dana Hall School seeks candidates for the position of Associate Director of the Dana Fund.
This position is responsible for:
- Managing the Dana Fund with a goal of approximately $2M in unrestricted revenue through mail and email solicitations
- Planning, designing, and executing a strategic direct mail program to ensure all Dana Hall’s constituencies are solicited for an annual gift, including conceiving and creating both messages and design with the Director of Development, as well as determining audiences, working with the Database Manager to pull lists, coordinating with mail houses, and all related steps
- Planning, designing and executing a strategic e-solicitation (OLX) program to ensure all Dana Hall’s constituencies are followed up by email for their annual gift
- Recruiting parent volunteers for the Dana Fund and Senior Parent Legacy Fund Committees, drafting agendas for committee meetings, and providing administrative support to parent volunteers, as needed
- Managing the Matching Gift Program by contacting donors who work for matching gift companies to ensure they submit paperwork to receive matching gifts
- Designing and implementing the Faculty/Staff giving campaign, including tracking participation and managing all department recognition
- Managing the annual Teacher Appreciation Campaign over the course of one week, drafting and coordinating the distribution of emails through OLX, recording totals and distributing results
- Managing the annual Dana Donor Day as a stewardship campaign for current donors
- Directly soliciting past donors who have not yet made a Dana Fund gift at the end of the calendar and fiscal years
- Drafting monthly articles for Parents’ Association and Alumnae newsletters, as well as creating annual endowment fund stewardship letters
- Attending and participating as assigned in Reunion, Family Weekend and other Advancement events
- Managing and ordering the Dana Fund stationery and other supplies for the Dana Fund
Successful candidates will possess a strong team orientation and success in collaboration; superior time-management skills with an ability to manage many tasks and projects simultaneously, while adhering to deadlines and maintaining quality work; excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail; effective communication skills, both oral and written, and an ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with utmost discretion.
Candidates must have: a bachelor’s degree, 3-5 years of related work experience; technical knowledge of data management systems and processes; experience with relevant Blackbaud solutions preferred, such as Raiser’s Edge/NXT and Online Express; knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Apps. Experience with independent schools, as well as parent and volunteer support are also preferred.
This is a full-time, twelve-month position reporting to the Director of Development.
