Dana Hall School seeks candidates for the position of International and Major Gifts Officer. The individual in this position will be accountable for:

  •   Crafting growth-focused fundraising strategies and plans for a portfolio of approximately 150 qualified international and/or major gift prospects (current parents, past parents and alumnae), moving them through identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship in securing donations of $25,000 and more for the annual fund and institutional priorities
  •   Building on an existing portfolio of prospects and donors while also creating relationships with new parents every year
  •   Re-engaging alumnae around the globe in advance of the School’s upcoming 150th anniversary
  •   Developing strong, trust-based relationships with prospects and donors, through personalized communication, meetings, and events, including international travel, as well as managing the International Parent Group meetings and its members
  •   Designing and executing tailored strategies to secure major and principal gifts, aligning donor philanthropic goals with the School’s mission and priorities
  •   Adapting Dana Hall messages, as necessary, and creating audience-specific messages for major and international prospects and donors, and utilizing the most successful channels of communication for different international audiences
  •   Partnering with advancement colleagues, senior leadership, and key stakeholders to create and implement effective cultivation and stewardship plans, ensuring integrated fundraising efforts, as well as coordinating with the Admissions Office and faculty, as needed
  •   Utilizing Raiser’s Edge/NXT for detailed activity tracking, prospect research, and analytical reports
  •   Actively participating in Dana Hall events, receptions, and institutional activities, potentially including evenings/weekends and traveling internationally

Candidates must have: a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, master’s preferred; proven success in soliciting and closing major gifts (e.g., $100k+ to 7-figures), experience with international donors preferred; demonstrated cultural competency in working with diverse international audiences and navigating cross-cultural interactions and communications; strong relationship management, communication, and organizational skills; experience with CRM systems, preferably Raiser’s Edge/NXT; proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Apps; commitment to Dana Hall School’s mission; second language preferred.

Successful candidates will possess a strong team orientation and success in collaboration; superior time-management skills with an ability to manage many tasks and projects simultaneously, while adhering to deadlines and maintaining quality work; excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail; and an ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with utmost discretion.

This is a 12-month, exempt, benefit-eligible in-person position reporting to the Director of Development. Assistance at several weekend or weeknight events may be required.  We are committed to supporting the well-being of our team by offering generous benefits. Salary range is $84,000-$100,000.
