We are a dynamic and fast-growing agency at the forefront of the "Food is Medicine" field, providing over 1M medically tailored meals annually to clients and their families experiencing illness and food insecurity in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In addition, our work strongly focuses on supporting the regional local food system, delivering high-quality nutrition education to the community, and hosting an on-site food-service workforce development program. Over the past 36 years, the agency has provided 15M+ free, scratch-made meals.
Community Servings seeks a dynamic and mission-driven Major Gifts Officer to join our collaborative development team during an exciting period of growth. Reporting to the Director of Major and Planned Giving, the Major Gifts Officer will play a critical role in advancing Community Servings’ mission by securing philanthropic support from a portfolio of individuals.
This frontline fundraising position will manage an active portfolio of 100–125 major gift prospects and lead efforts to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward five- and six-figure gifts that fuel annual fundraising and strategic initiatives. The Major Gifts Officer will develop and execute personalized engagement strategies, partner with senior staff and volunteers on solicitations, and represent Community Servings at donor events and external functions. The ideal candidate is a confident and goal-oriented fundraiser with a proven track record of closing significant gifts, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a passion for Community Servings’ mission.

Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three to five years of experience managing donor relationships, with a proven track record of closing five- and six-figure gifts.
Ideally the position will primarily be based out of Community Servings Jamaica Plain office; thus, the ideal candidate will live within an easily commutable distance of Boston.
