Mattapan Food and Fitness Coalition (MFFC) invites a grounded, community-connected leader to serve as its next Executive Director and guide the organization through its first leadership transition. Founded in 2006 by Mattapan residents, MFFC is a Black women-led organization that builds intergenerational leadership to advocate for equitable access to healthy foods and opportunities for physical activity. Its programs include the Mattapan Square Farmers Market, now in its 20th season, the Vigorous Youth employment and leadership program, and free community walks, hikes, and bike rides. The next ED will inherit deep community trust, beloved programs, and a committed staff. Priorities include building relationships, sustaining and diversifying revenue, leading strategic planning, and strengthening the partnership with MFFC?s Advisory Board.
The ideal candidate brings proven nonprofit leadership experience, a record of successful fundraising, strong financial management skills, and a genuine connection to communities like Mattapan. MFFC especially welcomes candidates with lived or work experience in immigrant, Haitian and Caribbean, multigenerational, and under-resourced communities.
